Current Position and Past Experience
Chris Wharton is currently Product Manager in the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Studies at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and has been with the institution since 2011. Previously, he was an Instructor, a Project Manager for a Language Training Program for Internationally-trained Apprentices, and an Earned Revenue Coordinator with the Schools of Manufacturing & Automation and Transportation. Prior to SAIT, Wharton was an English Instructor in Japan, where he taught at colleges, schools, and owned his own English School, and a Tutor and Marker at the University of Birmingham.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Wharton holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Calgary.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Wharton enjoys taking long walks, creating children’s picture books, recording TikToks with his kids, playing chess, and kickboxing.
