Current Position and Past Experience
Alex Read is a Program Development Strategist in the College of Continuing Education at Sacramento State. In this capacity, Read develops, designs, implements and delivers professional development programs for the College of Continuing Education at Sacramento State. With responsibility for a portfolio of certificate and customized contract training programs, Read fosters collaboration and growth within his department, and assists in operationalizing the College’s strategic plan.

Concurrently, Read is the Director of Special Events for the Sacramento Chapter of the Association of Talent Development (ATD) and Chair for the West Region of the Association of Continuing Higher Education (ACHE).

Education, Honors and Achievements
Alex Read earned a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix-Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Arts from California State University-Chico. In addition, he has completed serval certificate programs from Sacramento State University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Read lives in Sacramento with his wife and three kids. Alex coaches his daughter’s soccer team and his son’s baseball team. In his limited spare time, Alex enjoys swimming, jogging, golfing, and craft beer.
