Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Yusuf Sabree serves as the District Dean of Student Services at Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD), where he leads efforts to improve student success, retention, and equity-driven programming across multiple campuses. With over a decade of experience in higher education administration, Dr. Sabree is a passionate advocate for access and inclusion—especially for historically underserved student populations.

His research focuses on the academic and social experiences of African American male student-athletes in community colleges. He recently published an article on this topic in Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, which was also featured by Community College Daily.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Dr. Sabree holds an Ed.D. in Community College Leadership from Kansas State University and is committed to advancing institutional practices that foster persistence, belonging and postsecondary success for nontraditional learners.
