Shaun Carver is currently Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the International House at University of California Berkeley and has been in the role since August 2020. Previously, he was Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs at University of California, San Diego. Prior, he held several roles at Hult International Business School, most recently as Executive Director from 2013-2017.

Carver holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC Rossier School of Education. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from California State University San Marcos and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management from CSUSM College of Business.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Carver’s father is American and his mother British, thereby allowing him to hold citizenship in both the United States and the United Kingdom. As a child, the family moved around often within the U.S., and lived in Ireland for two years. He traveled widely during his years in Asia, through China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Japan, and many other countries throughout the continent. He feels at home in cross-cultural situations.
He met his wife, Bei Bei Zheng, in Shanghai. Their two children, LiAnne (age 8) and James Maxwell (age 6), are comfortable in multicultural environments, spending significant time with family in China, Italy, and the U.S.
