Sharon Manna | Dean of Marketable Skills & Digital Badging, Dallas College

Current Position and Past Experience
Sharon Manna currently serves as Dean of Marketable Skills and Digital Badging at Dallas College, where she leads initiatives that bridge academic learning with workforce readiness. Her work includes facilitating the Marketable Skills Faculty Integrator program, creating and deploying the Dallas College Digital Badging program, managing events, leading grant implementation teams and providing professional development to full- and part-time faculty. A long-time Government professor at Dallas College, she received the 2023 Dallas College Excellence in Teaching Award. Sharon also served as a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). She is the former host of the CETL “Teach/Learn” podcast and is a member of the Dallas College Speaker’s Bureau.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Sharon holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University Newark.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
When she’s not growing the Marketable Skills initiative, Sharon enjoys many things such as sports, reading, LEGO, music and golf.
