Current Position and Past Experience
Robert Luke, PhD, is currently CEO of eCampusOntario and has been in this position since 2020. Prior, he was Vice President of Research and Innovation at OCAD University. For nine years, he was at George Brown College where he served as Vice President of Research and Innovation and Director of Applied Research and Innovation.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Robert Luke holds a Doctor of Philosophy in from the University of Toronto. He also has a Master of Arts from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern British Columbia.
He served on the Council of Canadian Academies Expert Panel Review of The State of Science and Technology and the State of Industrial Research & Development in Canada, 2016-18, and as Expert Panelist, Council of Canadian Academies Expert Panel Review of Science and Technology in Canada, 2011-2012. In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to Canadian education and innovation.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work Robert enjoys going outside, everything from hiking in the woods, paddling on Ontario’s lakes, and enjoying the flora and fauna of our natural ecosystems.
