Current Position and Past Experience
Nicole Kempton currently serves as the Director of Alumni Engagement at Imperial College London. She is also a consultant with CMAC where she provides strategic direction and coaching to universities, colleges, independent schools and non-profits looking to engage their constituents in meaningful ways that drive impact. Prior to that, Kempton held a variety of roles in alumni engagement and development at Duke University, managing strategic planning efforts, alumni/student engagement programs, regional alumni communities, graduate and professional school engagement, and more. She served as Chief of Staff for the alumni engagement and development department and was the staff lead on a Board of Trustees task force examining the future of global alumni engagement at Duke.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Kempton holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University, and a Master of Philosophy in Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Kempton has also completed a MicroMasters in Design Thinking at Rochester University of Technology (RIT) and a certificate in Strategic Innovation at the University of Oxford.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Kempton is a hiker, a dog person, a voracious consumer of books and music, and a mother. She loves the challenge of working within a resource-constrained environment to deliver innovative solutions to persistent problems with extraordinary results.
