Current Position and Past Experience
Michael Kinch is currently Chief Innovation Officer at Stony Brook University and has been in the role since August 2024. He is also an Academic Affiliate at Analysis Group. Previously, he was Acting Chief Executive Officer at Resonance Pharmaceuticals. Prior, he was Executive Dean of Science & VP for Innovation at Long Island University.

He is also the author of three nonfiction books: Between Hope & Fear, The End of the Beginning and The Price of Health.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Kinch holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology from Duke University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from Ohio State University.
