Current Position and Past Experience
Mary Ettling is currently Director of Online Services and Educational Outreach at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and has been with the institution since 2009. Some of her other roles here have been Assistant Director of Credit and Distance Activities and Associate Director of Corporate, Academic and Distance Education Partnership. Prior, she was at Saint Louis University where she served as Affiliate Faculty Member, Director of Student Services and Academic Advisor. She was also a Graduate Program Field Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma for two years. She has also taught for the US Army and taught in various elementary teaching roles in Charleston, SC or for the Department of Defense Dependent’s Schools in Europe.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Ettling’s Graduate work includes a Masters of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma as well as a Post Master’s Certificate in Enrollment Management from Capella University. She also has a Bachelor of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kent State University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Mary enjoys learning about history, current events, and a variety of other topics. She enjoys writing, time spent with family, and loves to play Euchre or Spades when given the opportunity.
