Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Maria Puzziferro is currently Associate Chief Academic Officer and Vice President of Teaching, Learning and Innovation at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences; previously, she was Dean of Teaching, Learning and Innovation. Before a serving as Interim President at Santa Fe University of Art and Design for a brief period, she was Executive Director of Online Strategic Initiatives at Laureate Design Universities. Prior, she served nearly six years as President and Provost at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Dr. Puzziferro earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration, Leadership and Technology from New York University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Adelphi University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dr. Puzziferro volunteers with several organizations, with a strong focus on mentoring at-risk youth. In her free time, she enjoys both teaching and practicing hot yoga and holds multiple yoga certifications. She is also an experienced metalsmith who designs custom gold and silver jewelry, with a specialty in distinctive bangle bracelet creations.
