Current Position and Past Experience
Maegan Johnson is the WIOA Customer Engagement Manager at Hinds Community College, where she helps students bridge the gap between education and meaningful employment. Since joining the college in 2019, she has worked to expand workforce opportunities, strengthen community partnerships, and support adult learners in achieving their career goals. Before stepping into her current leadership role, she taught in the Adult Education division, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges and aspirations of returning students. Maegan remains passionate about empowering individuals through education and equipping them with the tools needed to build sustainable and rewarding careers.

Johnson holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Organizational Change from the University of Louisville and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi. She is a member of the National Council for Higher Education and the National Honor Society. Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Maegan enjoys exploring her family’s roots through genealogy, spending time with her loved ones, hiking and trying new recipes in the kitchen. She also enjoys participating in community activities and local events that bring people together and inspire connections.
