Current Position and Past Experience
Lisa Barr has been Director of Project Development in the Office of Global Initiatives and Extended Studies at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) since 2011. In this role, she develops international relationships and projects that enhance global engagement for CalArts, oversees the office operations, Office of Extended Studies, CalArts CommonSpace, Online Portfolio Development Workshops, online courses on Coursera, and graphic residency programs.

Prior to this, Barr served as Producer, Transatlantic Arts Consortium in the Office of the President at CalArts, where she administered budgets, awarded grants and produced events on behalf of CalArts in coordination with Dartington College of Art and Idyllwild Arts.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Lisa Barr holds an MFA from California Institute of the Arts. She earned her BA from Duke University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Barr stays active in the local theater and dance community. She is affiliated with the College of the Canyons Theatre Department and the Santa Clarita Ballet Company.
