Current Position and Past Experience
Kyle Massey is the Director of Academic Quality Assurance at College of the North Atlantic (CNA), a position he has held since 2021. In this role, he leads province-wide quality assurance and program evaluation initiatives, including accreditation, academic assessments, and audits across 17 campuses and international partnerships. Prior to this, he served as Manager of Academic Program Assessments at CNA, where he implemented a new assessment model to support continuous improvement across the institution.

From 2018 to 2021, Massey served as Coordinator of Evaluation, Data & Accreditation at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where he led key institutional evaluation and quality improvement efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked at Texas State Technical College as Coordinator of Curriculum. In addition to his administrative and leadership positions, Massey has maintained a consistent teaching agenda, having taught at Memorial University, Western University, University of New Brunswick, Texas State Technical College, Baylor University, and St. Lawrence College.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Massey holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy from University of Texas at Austin. He also earned a Master of Education from Queen’s University, a Master and Bachelor of Geography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Education in Intermediate/Senior Teaching from the University of Windsor.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Massey is committed to community service. He serves on the Board of Directors for Teachers on Wheels in St. John's, NL, and is also an active adult literacy tutor with that organization. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Jimmy Pratt Foundation and is co-founder and board member of The Katie Sullivan Instrument Library, a charitable organization that supports access to music education by providing free instruments to children. Massey also serves on the Board of Directors for the NL Chapter of the Canadian Evaluation Society.
