Current Position and Past Experience
Kevin Vaughn is the Dean of UCR Extension, University of California Riverside and has been in the position since 2018. Additionally, he is an internationally recognized authority on Andean archaeology and a Professor of Anthropology. Vaughn has been in higher education leadership for nearly 25 years. Before joining UCR, Kevin served as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at UCLA Extension from 2015 and spent a decade at Purdue University as a tenured Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Vaughn earned both his Master of Arts and Ph.D. degrees in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington. He has also received an honorary appointment as a Visiting Associate Professor at Yamagata University in Japan.
