From 2017-2021, she served two consecutive terms as a member of Military Family Advisory Network's advisory board, where she was a consistent voice for military families regarding safe housing and other relocation-related challenges. She has also worked with the White House’s Joining Forces initiatives to improve economic opportunities and employment outcomes for military spouses. Currently, she continues to serve as a member of MFAN's Military Housing Roundtable and as an executive board member of an theater arts nonprofit in her local area.

Bush Presidential Center’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program scholar, holds a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) certification from the American Marketing Association (AMA), and a bachelor's degree in corporate communications and business adminitration from the College of Charleston.

In her free time, Kellie teaches personal development workshops for military spouses as a Certified Narrative Enneagram Teacher (she’s a type 5). She continues to serve as a member of MFAN's Military Housing Roundtable and as an executive board member of Sweet Tea Shakespeare, a theater arts nonprofit in her local area. She lives in Fayetteville, NC, with her active-duty Army husband (stationed at Fort Liberty) and two children.
