Current Position and Past Experience
Justin Smith is currently Student Engagement Manager at Saint Louis University and has been with the institution since 2013. Over the past 10 years at Saint Louis University, Justin has held roles in academic advising and community outreach. Prior, he was an admissions counselor and academic advisor at Kaplan University for three years. Justin found his passion for higher education during his undergraduate work when he volunteered as a student guide at The Citadel.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Smith holds a Master of Science in Higher Education from Purdue Global with concentrations in Administration and Leadership as well as Assessment and Evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The Citadel, along with a post-bachelor’s certificate in strategic intelligence from Saint Louis University. Smith is currently working on his Ed. D in Educational Leadership and Innovation at Purdue University Global. Over his career, Smith has been named an Emerging Leader in 2012 at Kaplan University and the winner of the 2022 Staff Excellence Award at Saint Louis University’s School for Professional Studies.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Smith enjoys spending his time with his family and traveling with them. Originally from South Carolina, Smith is a major college football fan where he spends his Saturdays in the Fall either traveling to or watching the Clemson Tigers and The Citadel Bulldogs.
