Current Position and Past Experience
Juan Mavo-Navarro is currently Assistant Dean of Lifelong Learning and Innovation at the School of Continuing Studies at University of Toronto and has been in the position since September 2022. Previously, he held several positions at the School of Continuing Studies at University of Toronto, including Instructor of Learning Design Certificate Program, and Acting Assistant Dean for Academic Programs. Prior, he was an Instructor and Professor at Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín in Venezuela and Atlantis University in Miami. He also held learning design positions in private organizations both in Venezuela and Canada.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Mavo-Navarro holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Managerial Sciences, a Masters in Telematics Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín in Venezuela.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Mavo-Navarro holds volunteer positions with UPCEA - The Online and Professional Education Association, the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE), and the Ontario Council for University Lifelong Learning (OCULL). He has presented in prestigious forums, including conferences hosted by the Association for Talent Development and the Learning Guild. He continues to explore his passion for learning design and its intersection with lifelong learning.
