Current Position and Past Experience
Jill Loop is currently Executive Director of Student Outreach and Success Coaching at PennWest California, where she has served since 2020. Prior to her work at PennWest, she served as Faculty Associate/First-Year Advisor and Assistant Professor of journalism at Ithaca College in the Park School of Communications. Her background in journalism, literacy and educational leadership help guide her oversight of holistic student supports like success coaching, peer mentoring, tutoring, supplemental instruction and academic recovery programs.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Loop holds a Master of Education from Elmira College and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communication from Point Park University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside the office, Loop enjoys reading, sunny rounds of golf and wine tasting. During her time in the Finger Lakes, she taught Farm to Fork courses for first year students and, prior to moving to Pennsylvania, she studied for a sommelier exam.
