Current Position and Past Experience
Heather Codner is an experienced higher education professional who has served at Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education since 2010. She currently serves as Director of Enrollment & Retention, where she leads strategy, planning, and implementation of key initiatives to support student enrollment and success. Throughout her tenure, Codner has held several progressive roles, including Associate Director of Enrollment Services, Office Manager for Registration and Records, and Senior Information Services Specialist, making her a trusted leader in student services and operational management.
Prior to her roles in higher education, Codner honed her leadership and customer service skills in the retail industry.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Codner holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State University. She has earned the PCO Leadership Certificate from UPCEA, as well as certificates in Marketing Strategy and Strategic Leadership from Harvard University Professional and Executive Development Programs.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Codner enjoys reading and counted cross-stitch. She is the proud mother of two sons and values spending quality time with her family. Codner is dedicated to lifelong learning and creates welcoming, student-centered environments both professionally and in her personal life.
