Current Position and Past Experience
Hadassah Yang currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Research and Planning at Brandman University. Yang has been at Brandman University since 2011 and has held several positions, ranging from Senior Research Analyst to Assistant Vice Chancellor before taking on her current role.
Within her current role, Yang is responsible for all activities involved in the research, analysis, and reporting of data that supports Brandman University in its institutional decision-making. In particular, she is involved with the strategic planning and implementation (e.g. market research, curriculum development) of Brandman University’s credit hour and competency-based (CBE) programs.
She was an institutional representative for the American Council of Education’s Change and Innovation Lab (ACE CIL), and continues to be involved in various institutional initiatives, including the Credential Transparency Initiative. She has also presented at various conferences, including CBExchange and EDUCAUSE.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Yang earned her BA in Criminology and Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine). Yang later earned her MS in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn).
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Yang is an avid foodie -- she enjoys cooking new recipes at home and trying out new restaurants.
