Current Position and Past Experience
Don Welch is currently Vice President of Information Technology and CIO at New York University and has been in this position since 2021. Prior, he was a member on the board of directors for both Unizin and Kinber. From 2016 to 2021, he was at Penn State University where he served as an affiliate professor and CISO. He was also a CISO at the University of Michigan.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Welch holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. He also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University.
