Current Position and Past Experience
Cathy Moore is currently the Senior Associate Director of Ohio Technical Center Degree Pathways at the Ohio Department of Higher Education, where she leads the development, implementation, and expansion of degree pathways that support credit mobility and post-secondary access for adult learners and career-technical students. Prior to this, Moore spent 15 years at Miami University, where she held a variety of leadership and coordination roles, including Coordinator of Transfer Partnerships, Coordinator of Advising, Regional Director of Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, Academic Advisor and Associate Director of Career Services.
In her nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, she has consistently focused on improving student pathways, reducing barriers to credit transfer, and building collaborative partnerships across institutions, systems, and sectors.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Moore holds a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma and is ABD in a PhD program in Social and Community Services from Capella University. Moore also holds graduate-level credentials in gerontology from the University of Indianapolis and substance abuse counseling from East Carolina University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from Western Illinois University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Moore enjoys live music, traveling, and getting lost in a really good novel.
