Current Position and Past Experience
Catherine Coe is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with more than two decades of experience in business communications, digital marketing, and strategic branding. She has worked extensively in both the business and nonprofit sectors, fostering strong relationships with organizations to help them achieve their communication and strategic objectives.
Currently serving as the Digital Marketing Manager at North Central Michigan College (NCMC), Coe leads initiatives to enhance the institution’s brand awareness and enrollment campaigns. She specializes in digital marketing strategy, print and web design, video production, SEO, and campaign performance analytics. Her role involves close collaboration with the admissions team, the NCMC Foundation, and other college stakeholders to create compelling marketing materials and engagement strategies.
Previously, Coe held the position of Marketing and Communications Manager at Bay View Association, where she played a pivotal role in bridging connections between the organization and the broader community. She provided strategic support for programs in performing arts, worship, recreation, and education while also managing digital platforms, class registration systems, and donor management software.
Her expertise spans website management, social media marketing, content creation, graphic design, and email marketing. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations and businesses, offering specialized services in brand positioning, digital outreach, and creative direction.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Coe holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. In her tenure at North Central Michigan College, her work has been recognized nationally, earning 14 Medallion Awards and one prestigious Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR). These honors highlight her excellence in community college marketing, branding, and communications.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and community engagement, Coe continues to innovate in digital marketing, helping NCMC amplify its presence and connect with North Central’s audiences in meaningful ways.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of her professional endeavors, Coe enjoys gardening and is actively converting part of her yard back to native plants. She also has a passion for restoring furniture, cooking, reading and traveling. She values quality time with friends and family, as well as tending a small backyard flock of chickens.
