Current Position and Past Experience
Annabelle Goodwin is currently the Associate Vice President of Whole Human Strategy and Engagement at National University and has been in the position since October of 2022. Previously, she held the position of Chief Diversity Officer and Faculty at Northcentral University from 2013 to March 2023. Prior faculty roles include Professor at the University of Oregon from 2011 to 2013 and faculty positions at Lewis and Clark College from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Annabelle worked as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in multiple community mental health settings before transitioning to higher education full-time.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Goodwin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Development with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech, a Master of Education in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon, a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon, and an Associate of Arts from Portland Community College.

Additionally, Goodwin graduated from the NADOHE Standards of Professional Practice Institute in 2023 and the National University Leadership Academy in 2025.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Goodwin is a wife and mother. One of her most important jobs is raising happy, loving, and justice-oriented children. She also enjoys cheering her kids on in youth sports, including soccer and timber sports. Goodwin loves to run, completing a couple of half marathons each year, and rounds this out with a love for baking cakes and pies. Goodwin is both strong and tender-hearted. She commits to hopefulness, practicing courage, and leading with love and connection.
