Current Position and Past Experience
Shelly Chabon is currently Provost at Portland State University. Prior, she was Vice Provost of Academic Personnel and Dean of Interdisciplinary General Education. She has worked in a university setting for over 35 years and formerly served at PSU as CLAS Associate Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences and as chair of and a professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Chabon holds a Doctor of Philosophy from University of Pittsburgh and completed postdoctoral studies at Howard University. She also holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science in Audiology from Towson State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College.
