Current Position and Past Experience
Olivia Heaney has served at College of the North Atlantic since 2021 and is currently Manager of Academic Program Assessment; previously she was Co-operative Education Coordinator, Program Developer, Project Coordinator – Policy, Planning and Research, and Student Development Officer. From 2016-2018, she was an Adjunct Lecturer at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Prior, she served over 4 years at McGill University as a Graduate Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Lecturer.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Heaney holds a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature from McGill University, a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador and a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
An active member of Newfoundland and Labrador’s theatre community, Heaney currently sits on the board of Persistence Theatre Company.
