Josemanuel “Chema” Hernandez currently holds the position of Interim Data Strategist at Daley College. Originally from the southwest side of Chicago and equipped with an educational background in physics and astronomy, Chema combines their scientific expertise with a deep knowledge of the community to play a pivotal role in impactful data analysis and informed decision-making at Daley College. Drawing on past experiences as a physics and math tutor at City Colleges of Chicago-Malcolm X College’s Academic Support Center, Chema's commitment to providing strategic support in education is deeply rooted and informs their current role.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Chema holds a master of science in the Physical Sciences from the University of Chicago (2022) and a bachelor of arts in Physics and Astronomy from Northwestern University (2020).
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Chema enjoys expressing themselves creatively through painting and other visual arts, as well as visiting Lake Michigan for inspiration.
