Current Position and Past Experience
Dreand Johnson currently serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Coastal Bend College. Prior to this, he held the title of Provost at Trinity Valley Community College where he led faculty, staff, and campus administrators while overseeing operations at the Palestine, Kaufman, and Terrell campuses. Previously, he held the roles of Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Metropolitan Community College, Vice President of Instruction/Chief Academic Officer at Iowa Central Community, Dean of Mathematics, Science and Business at Tarrant County College—Trinity River Campus, and a Professor of History at Lone Star College-Tomball.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Johnson earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, where he developed expertise in qualitative research methodologies. He also holds a Master of Liberal Arts in History from Houston Christian University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas Southern University.
