Current Position and Past Experience
Andy Wilson is Vice Provost of Student Success at Loyola University Chicago. He also serves as a Clinical Professor in Loyola University Chicago’s School of Education. Previously, Wilson served as Senior Associate Vice President and Associate Vice President for Student Success at Loyola University Chicago. Before joining Loyola, Wilson held several roles at Johns Hopkins University, including Associate Faculty in the School of Education and Whiting School of Engineering and Dean of Student Development.
He previously served as a Graduate Teaching Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Development at the University of Georgia. At Emory University, he held roles including Senior Associate Dean for Campus Life and External Relations, Lecturer, Assistant Dean and Director of Residence Life, and Assistant Dean and Director of Student Conduct.
Earlier in his career, Wilson served as Coordinator of Sorority and Fraternity Life at Virginia Commonwealth University and Director of the Social Justice Center and Residential College at Washington University in St. Louis.
Education, Honors, and Achievements
Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University and a Master of Arts in Education from Virginia Tech. He received his PhD in Counseling and Human Development from the University of Georgia.
He also completed the Executive Leadership Program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
