Current Position and Past Experience
Amber Smallwood is currently Senior Vice Provost at University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Previously, she served four years at University of Texas at Arlington first as Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Planning and Policy, and then Vice Provost of Academic Innovation. Prior, she spent eleven years at University of West Georgia in several roles, from Professor of Mass Communications to Interim Dean, College of Social Sciences.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Smallwood earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. She also holds a Master of Arts in Telecommunications Management from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science in Radio and Television from University of Texas at Austin.
