Current Position and Past Experience
Rachel O'Sullivan is the Assistant Vice President of External Support and Alumni Affairs at Athens State University. She brings extensive experience in fundraising, marketing, business management, and strategic planning across higher education, nonprofit organizations, and the corporate sector.
Before joining Athens State University, O'Sullivan served as a Philanthropy Officer with the American Red Cross and as Director of Business Management at the Children's Museum of Brownsville. Her corporate experience includes roles as Brand Manager at McNeil, Associate Brand Manager at Bayer HealthCare, and International Management Trainee at Bayer HealthCare.
O'Sullivan's professional background includes international marketing and fundraising, with expertise in nonprofit organizations, strategic planning and analysis, marketing management, integrated marketing, advertising, and market analysis.
Education, Honors, and Achievements
O'Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German from the University of Notre Dame, a Masters of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration and Management from the University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business.
