William Badke | Associate Librarian, Trinity Western University

Current Position and Past Experience
William Badke has been the Associate Librarian at Trinity Western University since 2000 with responsibilities for Associated Canadian Theological Schools and Information Literacy. Prior to that, he spent 18 years as a Librarian and Associate Professor with Northwest Baptist Theological College and Seminary (1982-1999). Prior to that, he was a Biblical Studies instructor at Qua Iboe Church Bible College in Nigeria.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Badke earned his BA in Psychology in 1971 from the University of British Columbia. He earned his Master of Divinity and his Master of Theology from Northwest Baptist Seminary in 1975 and 1977, respectively. In 1985 he returned to UBC to complete his Master of Library Science.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Badke lives in Mission, British Columbia, Canada, with his wife Rosemary and two sons. He has been heavily involved in the information literacy movement within higher education and was recently named a Champion for Information Literacy by the National Forum on Information Literacy in Washington, DC.
