Monica Moody Moore | Assistant Dean of the Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University

Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2013, Monica Moody Moore has served as the Assistant Dean of the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. This followed five years as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at the same institution.

Prior to starting at Johns Hopkins, Moore served as the Vice President for Enrollment Management at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, the Senior Director of Board Management at Georgetown University and the Assistant Dean of Marketing and Outreach at American University. She also served as the Director of the University of Maryland’s School of Public Affairs.

Moore concurrently serves as the President of High Aspirations LLC, a corporation she founded in 2008.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Moore is currently working towards earning her EdD from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and expects to earn her doctorate in 2014.

She earned her BA in Communication Arts from Salisbury University in 1992, her MEd in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from the University of Maryland College Park in 1994. She completed doctoral work for a PhD in Education, Policy and Leadership at the same institution.

Moody Moore has also earned a number of professional certifications, including a certification in Professional Education and Training from Harvard University’s Institute for Management and Leadership and a Lean Six Sigma certificate from Villanova University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Moore is an active member of Jack & Jill of America, Inc and has served as a volunteer presenter with the Maryland Business Roundtable.
