Destiny Solutions Announces Winners of the 2009 Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship

Two Scholarship Prizes Benefit Dedicated Students

Toronto, Ontario - September 17, 2009

Destiny Solutions Inc., the industry-leading provider of enterprise software and solutions for Continuing Education, today announced that Masoudeh Kazemiashtiani and Jonathan Lambert have been selected to receive the Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship. Each $2,500 scholarship supports the recipients' studies in the 2009 - 2010 academic year.

The Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship is awarded annually to qualified students seeking financial assistance while fulfilling their continuing education goals. As the Director of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto, Dr. Mary Cone Barrie specialized in the art and science of teaching adults. Mary was committed to the community, learning, and the implications of technology on adult learners. For Destiny Solutions, Mary was an inspiration and mentor, providing her vision and leadership during Destiny's first decade. Destiny is honored to present this scholarship in her name as recognition of her contribution to so many during her lifetime.

This year's winners were selected from more than 70 applicants. Jonathan Lambert of Leverett, Massachusetts is making a change for the better. Currently completing his Master's degree at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Jonathan, a former professional baker, is planning to become a primary school teacher to make a difference in the lives of young children like his son. "Between my master's work and the practicum, there is no time for family or work," comments Mr. Lambert. "Winning this scholarship means I can focus entirely on school and spending time with my son."

Masoudeh Kazemiashtiani of Richmond Hill, Ontario is currently completing the International Midwifery Program at the Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University in Toronto. Masoudeh was a medical practitioner from Iran, so the completion of this program will enable her to achieve her goal of making a lasting contribution to her patients and the Canadian healthcare system. "My goal is to get back to the place where I was in Iran," comments Ms. Kazemiashtiani. "This is the first step. I feel so lucky that Destiny chose me for this award."

Recipients were selected by a committee that included Andy and Jesse Barrie, husband and daughter of Dr. Mary Cone Barrie. Destiny Solutions CEO, Shaul Kuper commented: "The scholarship was established to recognize the efforts of an extraordinary individual who strives to improve their life through continuing education, exhibits an enthusiasm and verve for learning, is highly dedicated and is in need of financial assistance. Both recipients of this year's award exemplify this."
