Commenting Guidelines

The EvoLLLution encourages readers and contributors alike to share their thoughts on articles by commenting. This is the best way to generate meaningful discussion and help move the higher education industry forward.

To this end, we have crafted a few simple guidelines to help community members feel safe and respected on The EvoLLLution.

1. Comment Contents

Whether you agree or disagree with the ideas proposed in an article, comments on EvoLLLution articles must add something meaningful to the discussion. Ā Critical, in-depth and intelligent discussions and debates are encouraged.

Links are only permitted when they lead to a resource providing pertinent and important information on the topic being discussed. Links will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be removed if deemed irrelevant by EvoLLLution staff.

2. Commenter Name and Email Address

We understand that many members of The EvoLLLution community come from a professional and public background and are uncomfortable sharing personal opinions on matters that are so important to their professional lives.

Commenters can feel free to use an alias if they would feel more comfortable doing so.

Whether using an alias or real name, though, we ask that commenters provide their email addresses in the provided information field. This allows us to confirm the legitimacy of the commenter while maintaining their anonymity.

3. Privacy and Protection

The EvoLLLution will never share the email address of a commenter, nor will we use the email address in any way. We simply ask for commenter email addresses as a mechanism to ensure the legitimacy of the comment.

To further protect the privacy of commenters, we ask that no personal information—email address, physical address or phone number — is shared in the text of comments.

Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

4. Responsibility and Rights

All comments on The EvoLLLution are the responsibility of the commenter, not The EvoLLLution’s owner, administrators, contributors or editors. Comments on The EvoLLLution do not represent the views of The EvoLLLution, its staff, its subsidiaries or representatives. By submitting a comment on The EvoLLLution, commenters agree that the comment content is their own. The EvoLLLution takes no responsibility for repercussions, losses, costs, damages or liability.
