Current Position and Past Experience
William J. Haney is currently Professor of Business Administration at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. He teaches in the area of Critical and Creative Thinking, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Business Communication. Prior to his current position, Bill was the Dean of the College of Business and Mass Communication at Brenau University. Before moving to Georgia in 2000, Bill was Associate Professor in the MacArthur School of Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Bill has also taught online for several college and universities since 1995. He is a course developer and online adjunct faculty mentor.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Bill earned a B.A. in Psychology from Bryan College. He also holds a M.S. in Counseling and Human Systems from Florida State University, and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University where he was given the Outstanding M.B.A. Graduate Student Award in 2010. Haney earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education with an emphasis in business administration from Florida State University. Currently, he is enrolled in the Critical and Creative Thinking certificate program at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. Bill is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (Georgia).

Haney was awarded the Charles & Hazel Corts Award for Outstanding Teaching by Palm Beach Atlantic University in 1996. He has hosted a radio show on WBCX FM in Gainesville, and is involved in helping students engage in international travel opportunities throughout the world.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dr. Bill Haney lives with his family in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia north of Atlanta near the idyllic town of Dahlonega.
