Current Position and Past Experience
Vicki Tambellini is CEO and Founder of Tambellini Group, the leading independent research and advisory firm dedicated exclusively to higher education.

She serves as an analyst and advisor to hundreds of institutional technology leaders and organizations and helps support Tambellini’s team of research analysts and advisors. With decades of higher education expertise, the analyst team produces 100+ research reports annually, offering unbiased analysis and objective insights on education technology and market trends. The team also delivers custom advisory services to Tambellini members.

Vicki led the establishment of Tambellini’s proprietary Education Institution Technology Profile Database ® the most comprehensive source of data in the industry, with more than 20,250 institutional technology selections and nearly 70,000 listings.

Earlier in her career, Vicki was Vice President and General Manager of PeopleSoft’s Higher Education business unit. Over the course of her four years in the role, she grew the unit into the highest revenue producer for the company worldwide. Vicki also led two venture capital backed start-ups as COO before founding Tambellini.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Vicki was chosen as Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and Tambellini Group earned a Company of the Year by the Stevie Awards in the small business category. Under her leadership over the past 20 years, the company has also earned the designation as a Great Place to Work-Certified company.

Vicki holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Vicki lives on Henry’s Creek in Kilmarnock, Virginia, with her husband. She is a strong advocate for differentiated and experiential learning. In her spare time, she enjoys scouring multiple auction sites to add to her vintage brooch collection, boating on the Chesapeake Bay, and spending time with her family including grown children and six grandchildren.
