Current Position and Past Experience
Santhosh Abraham is the Faculty Program Director for Accounting and Finance in the School of Business and Technology at Excelsior College. Before stepping into his current role, Abraham was an Associate Professor in the department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Abraham has over 15 years of experience in higher education and has worked internationally in Scotland, England, Thailand and Dubai.
Abraham is also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, an active member of the CFA Society of New York and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in York, UK.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Abraham earned his BBA in Business Administration specializing in finance, Magna Cum Laude from Assumption University in Thailand and his Masters of Financial Management from the School of Business and Economics at the University of Exeter. Abraham earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice from Heriot-Watt University. Abraham is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Doctorate of Finance from the University of Exeter where he specialized in risk reporting. He has published in a number of peer reviewed and highly ranked business journals including Accounting Organization and Society and the British Accounting Review.
Abraham received the Spirit of Heriot-Watt award for work on Internationalisation. He was also nominated for the Heriot-Watt Student Teaching Oscar Award.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
In his free time Abraham likes hiking in the Adirondacks with his family.
