Current Position and Past Experience
Robert Wagner is the Executive Vice Provost and Dean for Academic and Instructional Services at Utah State University and responsible for all instructional methods and support at the university. This includes the administration of courses and programs via online, internet video, and blended as well as faculty development. He oversees a vast network of academic delivery across the state of Utah and beyond.

Prior to this, Wagner was Vice Provost for Regional Campuses and Distance Education at USU and as well as Executive Director for Distance Education. At SUNY-Albany Wagner served as a Special Assistant to the President, focused on government relations and special projects for the university.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Wagner obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University. He earned his Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Utah. Wagner went on to complete his PhD in political science from the University at Albany (SUNY).

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Wagner is very involved in his community. Among many activities, he serves on the governing board for the Utah Education and Telehealth Network as well as the Steering Committee of WCET. He also enjoys running, motorcycle cruising, and spending time with his family.
