Current Position and Past Experience
Rachel Akers is a Program Manager for IBM’s New Collar Jobs Initiative, which seeks to increase employment in technology’s fastest-growing fields. She partners with community colleges across the US to provide faculty and staff access to IBM’s technical offerings and education that prepares students for new collar roles. Prior to taking on this role in 2017, Akers was a Global Talent Acquisition Account Manager with IBM. She has been with IBM since 1997.

Rachel Akers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo. She is a certified Project Management Professional.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Rachel enjoys family travel, cooking and entertaining as well as expressing herself though her art and home design. She is active in her daughter’s swim club and local community.
