Paul Hofmann is the Assistant Vice President for International Programs and Global Engagement at California State University, Sacramento. This followed four years as the Assistant Vice President for International Affairs at California State University, Fresno.
Hofmann has been involved in international higher education throughout his career. Prior to his move into the CSU System, Hofmann was the Director of the Center for International Programs at Bowling Green State University. This followed two years as the SEVIS Compliance Director at San Jose State University, and seven years as a Center Director with FLS International.

Hofmann earned a BA at Adrian College. He completed one MA at the University of Toledo and another at San Jose State University. He earned a PhD in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Bowling Green State University.

Hofmann is an avid baseball and hockey fan. He is a dedicated hockey parent who can often be found at ice arenas throughout Northern California.
