Current Position and Past Experience
Paul Almeida is the Senior Associate Dean of Executive Degree and Certificate Programs at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He has held this position since 2010. Almeida is also Professor of International Business and Strategy and has been at the University for 18 years. Prior to joining Georgetown, Almeida worked as an engineer for Tata Engineering.
Almeida has conducted executive education and corporate seminars with over 50 organizations including Microsoft, the World Bank, US Chamber of Commerce and Rolls Royce.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Almeida earned his B.E. from the University of Poona. He completed his MBA at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He holds both an MA and a PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Almeida has earned numerous teaching awards at Georgetown University including the Best Teacher Award, Executive Programs and the Joseph LeMoine Award for Graduate and Undergraduate Teaching Excellence. Almeida is also a seven-time winner of the Outstanding Professor, Executive MBA Program award.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Almeida likes good food and wine, enjoys grilling and keeping fit, as well as traveling around the world and spending time with his family and dog.
