Michael is the executive vice president and director of government relations for Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU), formerly the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU). He was previously executive director for Student Veterans of America (SVA). Michael is a Marine Corps veteran and served both in Iraq and Afghanistan. He focuses on postsecondary education issues including for-profit, nontraditional and military-affiliated students
Education, Honors and Achievements Michael received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) and his master’s from Johns Hopkins University. He is a President Truman Scholar and the recipient of the Horatio Alger Military Scholarship.
