Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Melissa Irvin serves as the Assistant Vice President for Student Success at Tennessee Technological University. Irvin concurrently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member in TTU’s College of Education. Irvin started at Tennessee Tech University as an Academic Advisor/Counselor before stepping into the role of Director of Retention Services. Irvin was also a 2014 Maxine Smith Fellow and a Student Services Coordinator at Daymar Institute.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Irvin earned her B.A. in Psychology from Duke University and her M.Ed. in Education Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University. Later on, Irvin earned her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University.
