Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Matthew Meyer currently serves as Associate Vice President for Business Engagement and National & International Partnerships at North Carolina Community College System. Prior, he was Associate Vice President for STEM Innovation and Strategic Planning, as well as Educational Innovations at NCCCS. This followed two years as Director of BioNetwork, the life sciences education and training initiative launched by the North Carolina Community College System. For three years prior to this, Meyer was Dean of Workforce Training at the Community College Workforce Alliance.
Meyer began his career at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College as Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering Technology, and later, the Dean of Corporate and Continuing Education.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Meyer earned his MEE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton and his Masterās in Bio Engineering from Clemson University. In 2012, Meyer earned his Ph.D. in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University.
