Current Position and Past Experience
Kim Kostka is currently a professor of chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is the academic director for the UW Flexible Option program at the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus. Kim has served as the Interim Dean of the University of Wisconsin–Rock County and is a prior chair of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin Colleges.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Kim Kostka holds an MS (1991) and a PhD (1993) in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (1986).

Kim earned the 1999 Green Chemistry Challenge Award from the EPA, the Women of Distinction Award from the YWCA of Rock County, and the Excellence in Instruction Award from the University of Wisconsin-Rock County.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Kim enjoys traveling, reading, attending live performances, and walking and hiking. She is also a mean polka dancer.
