Current Position and Past Experience
Kaye Moon Winters is an Educational Planner/Recruiter for Adult Learners at San Jacinto College. She is also the Completion Coordinator for the AACC Plus 50 Completion Program at San Jacinto College and founder of the collegeās Never Too Late (N2L) Support Program for Adult Learners.
Moon Winters is a former non-traditional student herself, starting San Jacinto College at the age of 57 and graduating from the University of Houston at the age of 60.
Moon Winters has also worked as a State Certified Presenter with the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented, and as an Accredited Teaching Artist with Young Audiences of Houston.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Moon Winters is currently a graduate student in the Masterās program of Adult Education at Appalachian State University. She received her A.A. from San Jacinto College Central in 2005. In 2007 she completed her BA from the University of Houston, graduating Summa cum laude.
Moon Winters is a two time San Jacinto College Phenomenal Woman Nominee. She is the 2011 winner of the NISOD Excellence Award and the 2008 winner of the SJCD Award of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions to the Nontraditional Student.
