Current Position and Past Experience
Karishma Furtado is a senior analyst with the Education Advisory Board where she conducts breakthrough practice research within the field of continuing, online, and professional education. Prior to this she was an analyst and a research associate with the company completing short-term research projects on behalf of provosts, CBOs, and VPSAs.
This followed her two years conducting genetics research and teaching physiology courses at the University of Chicago and volunteering with a political consulting firm.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Karishma earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Public Policy in 2009 from the University of Chicago.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
A big fan of education and science outreach, Karishma tutors in her local community and is helping develop and deploy science teaching computer games through her volunteer work with the Federation of American Scientists.
Karishma doesn’t have a Twitter account and is an unapologetic lurker on those social media channels she knows how to use.
