Current Position and Past Experience
With more than 20 years of experience in postsecondary education policy and practice, Dr. Jonathan S. Gagliardi is Assistant Vice President of Strategy, Policy and Analytics at Lehman College.
Prior to this, he was Associate Director of the Center for Policy Research and Strategy at the American Council on Education (ACE), and Vice President for Policy Research and Strategic and Head of the Council’s Center for policy Research and Strategy. While at ACE he published two landmark papers, Post-Traditional Learners and the Transformation of Higher Education and Evolving Higher Education Business Models.
Before joining ACE, Dr. Gagliardi was Chancellor’s Fellow on Completion at the State University of New York, where he helped to lead the development, implementation and scaling of strategies designed to realize the goal of increasing the number of graduates from 93,000 to 150,000 annually by 2020.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Jonathan Gagliardi is an Institute Fellow at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government. He received his PhD in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the University at Albany, an MA in Public Administration from Harvard University, and a Bachelor in Business Economics from Brown University.
