John LaBrie | Founding Principal and Dean, Northern University Toronto

Current Position and Past Experience
John LaBrie is the Founding Principal and Dean of Northeastern University Toronto, which launched in 2016. This followed seven years as Vice President of Professional Education at Northeastern University where he also serves as the Dean of the College of Professional Studies. Prior to Northeastern, LaBrie was the Dean of Continuing Studies at Simon Fraser University for four years. This followed his time as the Director of Program Development at Brown University. From 1993-2004, LaBrie served as the Director of Summer and International Programming at the University of Southern Maine.

Education, Honors and Achievements
LaBrie earned his BS in French from the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1991. In 1998 he earned his MSA in Administration and Management from St. Michael’s College and, in 2004, he earned his EdD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
LaBrie served as the Executive Director of the World Affairs Council of Maine from 2008-2009.
